Here's the Good News by which we are saved:

1.  None of us can save ourselves, no matter how good we are, no matter how many good deeds we try to pile up, no matter how badly we've sinned.  From Billy Graham to Mother Teresa, all of us need a Savior.  (If you've been trying to save yourself, that news should come as a blessed relief.)

2.  Jesus Christ has done for us what we never could have done for ourselves.  He lived the life we should have lived.  He died the death we should have died.  He paid a price we could never pay: an eternity of hell for every human soul who will turn to him in faith.

3.  All we can do is receive what Christ has done for us.  By placing our faith, not in ourselves, but in Jesus Christ and what he has done for us, we can have the assurance of everlasting life and peace with God.

It is our prayer, if you've never done so before, that you will place your faith in Christ and receive that precious assurance.  When you do, come and celebrate with us!  We celebrate that Good News every Sunday!
